OHH! WEDDING Journal
Italy as the ceremony
A destination wedding is often described as a venue with a view. That is too small. Italy, used properly, becomes the ceremony itself: the light that arrives before the guests, the table that holds them, the road that carries the couple away afterwards.
OHH! WEDDING reads a wedding the way OHH! ITALY reads a journey. Not as a sequence of vendors, but as a private chapter with a tone. The estate, the chapel, the lunch and the first night as a married couple are one composition. If something does not belong to that tone, it is left out.
The work is conversation, access and timing. A planner who already knows the country can open a garden that is not on a list, hold a legal room that does not feel like an office, and keep fifty guests moving as if they were twelve.
A second landscape for the same story — the road, not the water — so the day has more than one register.
What to protect
Protect the hours that cannot be recovered: the moment before guests arrive, the first walk as a couple, the meal that is actually eaten. Protect the people who flew for you, with transfers that do not announce themselves. Protect the day after — which is already the honeymoon, whether or not anyone has called it that.
The house’s task is to make room for that, then step aside.
